Active Learning Consulting was founded by Glynn Richards Ed.M. Glynn is a highly experienced educator and consultant with over 25 years experience in the field of international education.
Glynn has worked as an IB teacher, IB workshop leader, IB conference speaker, school curriculum coordinator, manager and independent educational consultant.
Glynn worked 7 years as Senior Manager for Access Projects for the International Baccalaureate at the IB's headquarters in Singapore as well as in The Hague in the Netherlands.
In his role as IB Senior Manager for Access Projects, Glynn oversaw a large department devoted to developing training and programmes as well as developing the IB programmes in under-represented countries. While a senior manager with the International Baccalaureate, Glynn worked with MEXT to set up the framework for the Japanese Dual Language IB Diploma.

Glynn has consulted with government educational ministries all across Asia, regional United Nations educational bodies, school districts, NGOs and schools.
Glynn has assisted ministries, school administrators and teachers in various countries from vastly different systems of education (in Indonesia, Poland, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Kazakhstan, Saudi Arabia, etc.). in developing more learner-centred teaching and learning.
Glynn has worked in the field of education in the United States, Singapore, Russia, Japan, The Netherlands, Switzerland and the UK.

He has written about IB practice when he was Senior Manager for Access Projects for the International Baccalaureate. He was also a frequent speaker at IB regional conferences.
Glynn has a Master’s Degree in Education from Smith College in Massachusetts, United States.
